Treaty Grounds writting

Wohoo the day was here, me and my class got to walk to waitangi. When we were walking I could here all the cars and trucks going past. In 10 or 5 minutes we got over the bridge and to the treaty grounds. Then I had to stand in line with my excitement inside of me waiting for everyone to get a sticker. “Finally” I said to myself. We got to walk through the gates and play a game they did back then.

My first game I played was weaving the kite and playing with it. Step one, we had to get into groups of 2. My partner was Indie, Step 2, me and indie had to pick a mat to work on, Step 3 we got a piece of neko. ( neko is a type of plant that you weave). Step 4 we had to rip of the 2 bottom leaves of the neko. Step 5 on each side me and indie had to grab a neko leaf and went over under over under until there is a little bit of it left and tie it to the stim. We did that for about half an hour and then the kite was done. Step 6 play with your kite.

The second game I played was back in the old days when mori warriors were in the forest they used power shells to lessen. To make one you need 2 power shells a bead and string, Step 1 get the 2 power shells and open the power shell and plop the bead in. Then tie the string to it and done do it again. We had to pick another player and get blindfolded then we shook is every 5 seconds or every time I moved. But you have to tag your opponent. When I was blindfolded I like danced trying to tag him, but he tagged me first.

The next game I played was called mātau māui the way to play it is, get 2 long ropes enough to as many people on in as you want. Then when someone says matau jump to the right. Then when someone says maui jump left. Then the will say Te whanganui jump in the middle. First time through I came 4, 2 time through I came 2, 3 time I came 1. It was fun. Suddenly I realized that we have to go back to school. “Noooooo!!!” I said. So we started to head home.

As soon as I got to school I stuffed my face with a sandwich and ran to bus.

I was learning to write a recount from my tripe to waitangi.
The thing I could do better is adding more detail.
The thing I did well was putting the events in the right order.                                                   The End.
