Takeaways.

In Te Ngahere we have been learning what takeaways are good for us and what takeaways are bad.
The healthiest and the most expensive was Subway.
The second healthiest was sushi, but the really bad takeaway was Carl's JR.
It had about 20 teaspoons of fat in a burger and handful of a  large fries and a large drink.
I will use this information in the future so I can make healthier choices.
The thing I should do better is I should have made better choices before and ate healthier.

Here are some photos.

Beeswax Wraps.

In Te Ngahere we have been making beeswax wraps.
We had to draw a design on a piece of fabric.
My one had my favourite movie, games and all my friends names on it.
In the middle it had my name in big letters and my nickname underneath.
The thing I think I did well is my design.
The reason we made beeswax wraps is so we don't have to use plastic in our lunches.
The thing I could do better was not use vivid because it leaked onto my fabric.

School Disco.

At Paihia School last night we had a school disco
. The juniors one was at 5:30 to 6:30 and the seniors was 6:45 to 7:45.
Just before the disco I got hair cut and dressed up all nice.
Me and my friend Dayton started break dancing.
He won a trophy for it I agreed he was a much better dancer than me.
I bought 2 glow sticks the fat ones and a glowing eyeball ring.
All these people felt sick so I got about 12 bags of lollies for free.

Dress Up Day.

On the eighth of August Paihia School had a dress up day.
Where we had to dress up as something and bring a gold coin donation for Kids Can.
They help us  feed the kids in our school and supply us with jackets.
I dressed up as Predictor X, but it was my version, because I wore my clothes. It was so fun, I loved it.

Te Reo Moari.

In Te Ngahere someone named Wheaea Lisa came to our class to teach us to say things around the classroom in Te Reo Māori. Most of them we already knew but there was some new ones too. Then after we learnt all of them we played a little game of bingo or in Te Reo called Whare Whare.

Ukulele Lessons.

In Paihia School we have been taking ukulele lessons. We will be going to these lessons every Wednesday until week five in the whare, and hopefully by week five we can rock on with the ukulele. We learnt how to make the ukulele sound change on the same string and we all it a little strum with the strings all together and it sounded amazing. The thing I did good at was doing it in sequence, the thing I could of done better was pay more attention to to the rhythm she told us to do. I can’t wait until next Wednesday.

Maramaku Sports Day.

A group good of people got chosen to go to Maramaku sports day.
We could play rugby or net ball, I chose rugby. We won all of them except 1.
They were hard, it seemed like they have been practising a lot.
The score was 6-7, and that was the only game I scored a try.
We could of made it into the finles but we just needed 1 more point.
Even though we didn’t get into the finals we all still had fun.
