Animation

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about food chains. The first food chain we learnt about was a marine one. That marine one is, Kelp uses sunlight to get energy, Kina eat kelp to get energy, Crayfish eat Kina, Carpet Sharks eat Crayfish, and other Sharks eat carpet Sharks. So even if you are the toughest shark in the world, you would still need kelp to help you get energy.

After that I got to pick my own food chain and made a animation about it. Making the animation was hard it took me about two weeks to make it.

The thing I did well was getting the food chain right because, with some people they didn't get a food chain, they got a life cycle. That happened to me the first time I tried to get a food chain. It was a life cycle. The thing I enjoyed was doing the impression for my main character. The thing I could of done better is doing it quicker because I finished on the last day.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Bay Bush Action

Last week in Te Ngahere we had visitors called Stella and Brad from the Bay of Island Bay Bush Action group. They came to our class to talk about saving the Ngahere, native birds and animals. They showed us a kiwi that was killed by a dog, but it did not look like it was killed by a dog, it looked fine. Stella and Brad also let us pet a stuffed possum and see a stuffed hedgehog. They also gave us some traps so we could set them around our school, to make our school the first pests free school in Northland.
